Digital marketing, get it mobile
11th Nov 2009
Mobile advertising has been somewhat overshadowed by the internet for some years now. That is of course up until recently. With the explosion of smartphones, the iPhone (and all its wondrous apps) and of course mobile web browsing in general, the realm of mobile advertising has exploded onto the scene. Creativity and innovative ideas to reach browsers on-the-go has offered brands and companies the opportunity to explore thousands of new ideas.
With Google buying the mobile advertising giant AdMob earlier this week it looks as though the world of mobile advertising is on the verge of big changes. Google – never one to do things by halves – are looking to work with AdMob to rapidly accelerate the creativity and innovation already sparked by the smartphones and their apps. I think it would be safe to say that we have only seen the beginning of the mobile marketing revolution.
“Mobile advertising has enormous potential as a marketing medium and, while this industry is still in the early stages of development, AdMob has already made exceptional progress in a very short time,” said Susan Wojcicki, vice-president of product management at Google
Google is already well onboard with the mobile media and launched Android, its mobile operating system, earlier this year. Android is optimised for Google websites and could create an easy pathway for AdMob users to get a direct route to Google’s customers.
The combination of this advertising giant and Google appears to herald a new era in digital marketing. Creation Agency already understands the importance of digital marketing and the creative ideas that can come from marketing through the varying media. By taking on board developments such as the Google and AdMob merger Creation Agency is able to offer the most up-to-date advice and strategies for your brand.
