Going the Extra Mile for FSC
17th Apr 2012
At Creation, we’re proud to do our bit to retain the world’s ecological balance. For a long time, we’ve taken our environmental obligations seriously so we were delighted to start working with the global marketing team within the Forest Stewardship Council midway through 2011.
With FSC’s global remit, we’re never quite sure what’s around the corner. For instance, the creative work we’ve done on FSC’s CEO Campaign has taken us across Scandinavia, into Germany, through South Africa and closer to home in good old Blighty. Snapping CEOs of multinational organisations, representatives of closely aligned strategic partners of FSC’s has been a privilege, and it’s resulted in the highest quality campaign that will be making its big reveal quite soon.
Our next FSC project focuses on their Small and Community Label. Designed to support the efforts of small and independent forest owners introducing the highest quality, sustainable products to the timber supply chain, we’re kicking off our creative work with an extensive photo shoot. But it’s no ordinary photo shoot. In fact, it’s in Honduras. A rainforest in Honduras. This could be interesting.
Our access point into Honduras is La Ceiba, from where we’ll take a local flight to Brus Laguna. That’s followed by a boat trip and a trek through the forest to a UNICAF community in La Reserva de la Biosfera de Río Plátano. Our team will be slapping on the insect repellent in prep for three nights under canvas deep in the Honduras rainforests, capturing as many shots as possible of workers, indigenous communities and landscapes.
We’re aiming for a breathtaking result that will do justice to the gravity of FSC’s campaign and support the amazing efforts of local forest workers and owners who deserve to be recognised for delivering the best quality timber through the most responsible means necessary, fully endorsed by FSC. We’ll keep you posted.
