Morrisons Entertaining the job market
5th Oct 2009
For people affected by unemployment the road forward can seem long. Morrisons, Britain’s fourth largest supermarket chain, is looking to help get people back to work by creating over 7,000 jobs this year. During a governmental jobs summit this year, Gordon Brown quoted Morrisons as an example to combating unemployment in the UK. The training they offer in traditional skills such as baking and butchery is a fantastic opportunity to provide young people with a skill set they can take forward into a future career.
Although growing across many areas of its business Morrisons is also looking to develop its entertainment division. At Creation, the Insight Service Team offer companies the knowledge and consultancy services needed to progress a business to the next level. The team has been working with Morrisons to build their entertainment sector sales performance. Working alongside the company’s distributor, MBL, to provide support and knowledge Creation have helped continue Morrisons on its development path. The Insight Team will be providing MBL with the three year growth plan, knowledge and category support needed to provide the highest levels of advancement.
With more stores set to open before the end of the year – and the economic crisis looking like it may begin to improve – the work Creation is doing with Morrisons is allowing the business to move forward, providing the opportunity to be ahead of the game as the recovery begins.
