OK, my friend Lee sent over an image today where he’d Photoshopped me in front of a TomCat plane and put a TopGun badge on my jacket. It was only a bit of a joke and it probably only took him five minutes. (Top image)

However, as soon as I opened it I just had to correct the tones and fix the clipping path around me before I could fully appreciate it, as the light hearted quip it was. So to my own disgust that’s what I did. (Bottom image)

It’s a curse being a designer, I’m not proud of this painful attention to detail I have, it’s what makes me so utterly annoying to be around, but I guess it’s also what makes me good at my job. I just hope Lee still wants to be my wingman after reading this.
